Piston Valve is basically Seat less and Glandless valve and by virtue of its design can replace both, the conventional type of Gate and Globe valves, with distinct advantages over them. SteamLok make Piston valve are designed with a unique solid nonmetallic hand wheel. This ensures hand wheel does not get hot and also ‘F’ key cannot be inserted. Piston valve have sealing stacks which are made of alternate Graphite and stainless steel mesh. This mesh helps in bonding both the top and bottom of graphite rings mechanically. This ensure that the stacks are much harder anddo notpeel off.This results in longer life of piston valve. Piston valve have internals, which are burnished to a very high surface finish (0.2 Ra). This ensures thevalves adhere to Class VI leakage.
